Toyota is apparently delivering the new Land Cruiser Prado, the next generation of which is scheduled to arrive next year, in place of the fully-fledged Land Cruiser 300 series that debuted in 2021.
The Lexus GX, also known as the Toyota GX or Rekusasu GX in Japanese, is a mid-size luxury SUV that Lexus sells in North American and Eurasian markets. The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, from which the GX derives its off-road prowess, serves as its base. In 2002, Lexus debuted the first generation, also known as the GX 470, which later became the third SUV to join the Lexus lineup.

Toyota has not given a precise release date for the Land Cruiser Prado, but it is expected to be introduced later this year given the Lexus GX’s impending debut at the beginning of next year. Furthermore, Toyota has announced that the North American market would be the first to receive the latest generation of the Land Cruiser Prado. The car will be marketed in North America under the name “Land Cruiser” instead of the “Prado” suffix.
