Since it is a moped at its core, it looks like one. As mopeds have been the vehicles that blend day-to-day commuting with a minimalist approach, Niu hasn’t moved out of the way to make it any less.
The minimalist styling can be seen here on the NIU UQim, with a naked frame and bright colors adorning the look. There are LED DRLs and a short but unique rear section. Niu hasn’t covered up the steel frame here which helps keep the weight in check and even adds a stylistic flair to it. All of this put together, makes it stand out.
As for the color options, the moped is available in five color options: Blue, Orange, Yellow, White, and Black.

The NIU UQim rides on a FOCvector motor that churns out 400Watts of power. As for the actual battery capacity, the UQim comes pre-fitted with a 48V16Ah Panasonic battery which happens to be removable and takes 5 hours to fully charge up.
