Kia Nepal has finally introduced the new to the Nepali market. The new Sorento is a “mid-size SUV” as Kia calls it. Kia says it has been bagged with new technologies and features showcasing the future potentiality that it possesses.
Design:
The design is defined and makes up for a bold exterior i.e what you get with the Kia Sorento is a muscular design and a boxier look that feels more like an SUV and justifies the crossover. What adds to the SUV quotient is the 176mm of ground clearance that the Kia Sorento offers.
The new Sorento also gets a panoramic sunroof. To the front, we have LED headlamps with DRL. For the wheels, it gets alloys that can be had in either 18” or 19” inches. The new Sorento measures 4810mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1700mm in height. These specs combined have got the Kia Sorento awarded with the Large SUV of the Year, 2021 by What Car.
Performance and Features:
The new Sorento drives on a 2.2-liter, 4-cylinder diesel unit which pushes out 198hp and gives it 440 Nm of torque. This engine is mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission unit. The engine option is the same for both of these variants and has AWD.

Kia hasn’t cheaped out on any of the safety features for the new Sorento. To name a few, there’s Blind Spot View Monitor, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Junction Assist, Colour Heads-Up Display, and multi-collision brake.
Interiors:
Moving on to the interiors, Kia Sorento gets with 5/6/7 seat options and a good amount of storage capacity as well. There’s an Auto A/C feature as well. For the infotainment system, you get a 10.3” for the infotainment system You get a 10.3” inch touch screen and a 12.3” inch touch screen for the infotainment system depending on the variant you choose. Kia has lashed the Sorento with a lot of cubby storage and cup holders.
Pricing and Availability:
The all-new Kia Sorento will be available in two variants: EXI and Executive. The EXI variant has been priced at NRs. 1.69 crore and for the higher-end trim- the Executive is NRs. 1.89 Crores. Regardless of the variant you go for, you get six color options for the Sorento- Silky Silver, Steel Grey, Mineral Blue, Aurora Black, Gravity Blue, and Snow White Pearl.
